Local attractions have some weekend fun in store for you and your little ones amidst the back to school blues! Below is a list of new local attractions that are generating quite the buzz.
Alabama Splash Adventure
Located in Bessemer, just off the interstate- Alabama Splash Adventures has a water-park and a theme park! Just what the doctor ordered! Your ticket not only allows you access to both parks, it also includes $10 bonus bucks to cover the cost of food or even swag from the gift shops! And I almost forgot to mention, the theme park has introduced two all new rides- Drop Zone and the Teacups. Alabama Splash Adventure is fun for all ages and is a guarantee way to help kids release all that built up energy from sitting at a desk again!
McWane Science Center: Hall of Heroes
The McWane Science Center has opened a short term exhibit, called Hall of Heroes. Discover your Superpowers starting with the ‘Identification Station’ and wonder through interactive sections like ‘Gadgets- featuring an original replica of the Batmobile’ and ‘Powers of the Mind’. Each section just as fun as the last, it will definitely be worth adventure and a guaranteed way to entertain those little Super Heroes of your own!
Woodlawn Street Market
Get the family up and out by stopping by the new Woodlawn Street Market. From live music to fresh produce, it’s all covered here. Kids will be entertained with the local street dancing and interactive spray paint area for all ages. (Yes, even you Dad!). This little family friendly street fair has caught the attention AL.com, IronCity.ink and more. Just go see for yourself what all the buzz is about!
